Who we are

Birmingham Ready Mix Concrete ("we", "us") is a concrete enquiry service for Birmingham and the West Midlands: we take enquiries for ready mix concrete, screed, pump hire and installed concrete work, price them, and arrange them with vetted local delivery and installation partners. We operate this website and are the data controller for the information described in this policy. What we collect, and why

We only collect personal information you choose to give us, and we only use it to respond to your enquiry and arrange the work you book through us. That means:

• Quote and contact forms: your name, phone number, email address (if given), delivery postcode, what you're pouring, quantities or dimensions, dates, and any photos you attach (for example, of your access or site). We use these to check availability, work out your mix and volume, and prepare your quote. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• Phone and email: whatever details you share when you contact us directly, used for the same purpose.
• If you go ahead: the details needed to arrange and document the job — the site address, access notes, site contact details, the quote and booking records, and any billing information that passes through us. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (the arrangement you make with us, and the steps needed to set up your contract with the partner) and our legal obligations, which include keeping standard business and tax records.

We do not use your details for marketing lists, we do not send newsletters, and we never sell your information or share it for advertising. The only people who receive your enquiry details are the partner we arrange for your job and the service providers listed below.

Who we share your data with, and who processes it for us

• Our delivery and installation partners: when we arrange a job, we pass your enquiry details — name, phone number, email address, postcode, job details and any photos you attached — to the local delivery or installation partner we arrange for that job, so they can quote for it, confirm the slot with you and carry out the work. Partners act as independent businesses: they are responsible for their own contract with you and for the information they hold as your supplier or installer. You will be told who the partner is before any work is booked, and we do not share your details with anyone else.
• FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) relays our website form submissions to our email inbox. Your form contents pass through their service in transit.
• Our email provider stores enquiry correspondence.
• Google Fonts: our pages load the Oswald typeface from Google's servers, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
• Google Maps: some pages embed a Google map. Google may set cookies and collect usage data within the map frame under its own privacy policy.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The concrete calculator runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type into it is sent to us unless you submit an enquiry. The only cookies that may appear come from the embedded Google Maps frame, and only on pages that include a map.

How long we keep your information

Enquiries that don't become bookings are deleted within 12 months. If a job goes ahead through us, we keep the enquiry, quote and booking records for at least 6 years, because tax rules and standard business record-keeping require it. The partner who carries out the work keeps their own batch documentation, delivery records and invoices — you may want those if you ever sell the property or need to evidence the work, and the partner can supply copies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (where we're not legally required to keep it), and object to or restrict our use of it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information — for example, if we ever add analytics — we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
