Ready Mix Concrete in Walsall
Walsall pours in two sizes: workshop yards and unit floors that take a battering, and the driveways and footings of home life. Same trucks, same batch tickets — the mix just changes. From 0.5m³.
Yard and Slab Concrete for Walsall's Units
Around Walsall's industrial estates the question is rarely "can you deliver?" — access on a working estate is easy — it's "will the slab last?" That's a grade question, and it pays to get it right the first time.
External yards that take forklifts, lorries and winter salt want an air-entrained C32/40 at S3 — the designed-mix equivalent of what the trade calls PAV2. The entrained air stops the surface scaling under freeze-thaw and de-icing salts. Heavy industrial floors step up to C40/50; general industrial wearing surfaces sit around the C32/40 mark. We supply these as designed mixes batched to the strength and durability requirements of BS 8500 / BS EN 206, and where an engineer has specified the slab we batch to that performance spec — see C40 concrete for the top of the range. Waterproof and self-compacting options are covered on our commercial concrete page, along with scheduled and phased supply.
Worth knowing for premises near the cut: our washout is contained and taken away on every job — nothing goes down a drain, a gully or into a canal. That's a legal obligation we take seriously, not a nicety.
Home Projects Across WS Postcodes
The same trucks handle Walsall's home jobs: driveways in air-entrained C25/30 (PAV1-equivalent) at around 150mm, extension footings in C8/10 GEN1-equivalent, shed and garage bases in C16/20. Minimum load 0.5m³, no part-load penalty — because concrete is batched on site and billed by the meter, a half-metre repair pays a half-metre bill.
Domestic access gets the same honesty as commercial: the truck needs about 3m of clear width; where it can't get close, extension chutes reach around 5m, and barrows or a pump cover the rest. Tell us what you're working with and we'll plan it.
Walsall Delivery, Prices and Volumes
Guide prices per cubic metre, +VAT, confirmed when you book: GEN1-equivalent from £99, C20 from £105, C25 from £110, C30 from £115, C35 from £120, C40 from £128. seven days a week, 7am–5pm, same-day slots often available.
For yards and floors, volume adds up fast — a 20m × 10m yard at 150mm is 30m³. One volumetric truck carries materials for roughly 8–10m³ and reloads for bigger pours, so phased slabs suit us well; for very large continuous pours we'll tell you honestly what suits best. Size your pour with the concrete calculator and see concrete delivery for how pour day runs.

Walsall Concrete FAQs
What grade of concrete does a Walsall yard need if forklifts and lorries run on it?
Heavy-duty external yards — especially ones that get salted in winter — call for an air-entrained C32/40, the designed-mix equivalent of what the trade calls PAV2. Heavy industrial floors go higher still, up to C40/50. If an engineer has specified the slab, we batch to their performance spec; if not, tell us what runs on it and we'll recommend honestly.
Can you supply certified designated mixes (RC or PAV) for a spec job?
We supply designed mixes by strength class, batched to the strength and durability requirements of BS 8500 / BS EN 206, with a batch ticket on every load. Designated-mix names may only be supplied under third-party certification, which we don't currently hold — so if your specification strictly requires certified designated concrete, as NHBC and National Highways specs do, we'll tell you straight and advise on the right route.
Can you pour outside normal hours for business premises?
Our standard hours are 7am–5pm, seven days a week. Out-of-hours pours typically carry a surcharge — commonly £50–£150 or £15–£35 per m³ across the market — confirmed when you book. If the yard has to stay open through trading hours, an early slot is often the answer.
Do you still do small domestic loads in Walsall?
Absolutely — the same trucks pour driveways, footings and shed bases from 0.5m³ with no part-load penalty. You pay metered volume only, whatever the size of the job.
